Cthulhu - Lord of Life Series A postage stamps

The United States Postal Service is honoring H.P. Lovecraft with a new series of stamps, four new Cthulhu images per book. I created about 500 different stamps based on my original prompt using NightCafe SDXL, Meta AI Imagine, and Bing Image Creator (DALL-E 3). I cleaned up all the ugly AI artifacts, added extra imagery where needed, and then combined them into an actual stamp book using Affinity Photo.

Series 1 from the Lovecraft Babies postage stamp release

Here is "Series 1" from the United States Postal Service's LOVECRAFT BABIES stamp series. This series was created entirely within NightCafe Mysterious XL v4. I cleaned up all the ugly AI artifacts, added extra imagery where needed, updated the body parts of several monster babies and then combined them into an actual stamp book using Affinity Photo.

Clash of the Jurassic Cthulhus

"Two large Lovecraftian leviathans emerge from the depths of the ocean to battle in front of a soon-to-be-doomed coastal city. " --- I spent a little time trying out the NightCafe AI image generator over the last week. I went through 8-10 variations of my generating prompts, then pulled 4 of the best images down to my PC. Composite work included manual edits, new brush textures, and other tweaks to fit them into a single widescreen image within Affinity Photo.

Was watching a WW2 documentary and saw a nice leather bomber jacket, so I got inspired to make my own patch.  Here is my latest composition with the "Deadman's Rodeo Flight Group Alpha" badge designed within Affinity Designer using vector layers.

Unpublished cover for Walt Disney's Donald Duck #85 (would have been released in December 1962)

Using my artwork from the last creation, I have created the unreleased cover from what could have been issue #85 of Walt Disney's Donald Duck if published by Dell Comics.  Naturally, I have created this as close to Carl Barks-style as I can, mimicked from many sample comic books.

Donald Duck as Batman

After tracing/vectorizing my last drawing off a Carl Barks 1950s comic book, I decided to try my hand at making a Batman version of Donald Duck. I used quite a few different Barks duck images to compare against for inspiration and artist reference.

Donald Duck Having Problems Mixing a Batch of Cookies

I created my own vector version from a 1952 comic book cover originally drawn by Carl Barks from Walt Disney's Donald Duck #57. Just vector brushes, solid colors, and a couple gradient fills. I've included a side-by-side image to show my source material for this homage.

Catwoman jumping over inner city rooftops

Catwoman (Selina Kyle) jumping over inner city rooftops.  I like the way the silhouette works on the cloudy night sky backdrop, especially with the water tower.

Vampire Hellhound

I borrowed my nasty teeth from a previous Batman image creation and applied it to our labradoodle.  I would not want to run into this guy after dark.  I think we will call this hellhound by the name of Dark Bolivar.

Batman Vampire

Batman as a vampire, 'nuff said.    A bit of tracing and composite work from some other images, then altered quite a bit to fit this image theme.   I think the image I used for distorting into point teeth came out decent.
