The Art of Storytelling: How a Single Panel Can Set the Stage for an Epic Superman Adventure

This panel tells a clear story: Superman is using his incredible powers to defeat an enemy, and he's not holding back. The beams of energy symbolize Superman's strength and determination, and the off-camera enemy reminds us that Clark is always ready to defend the innocent. The panel sets the stage for a thrilling action sequence, leaving the reader wondering what will happen next.

[Workflow: I extracted a single panel from a 2024 DC Comics book, added a colorful gradient background, cleaned up some unwanted elements, and blended in some new heat-vision beams to blast at a target off-screen.]

Papercraft Superman

Here are some Superman papercraft creations I prompted during a session with NightCafe.   I cleaned up artifacts and added features with Affinity Photo during post-edits.

Lois Lane Metropolis Reporter

I fed Tengr AI a base image sketch and my inputs to create the starter image of Lois Lane.  Brought image into Affinity Photo for artifact clean-ups, embedded the logo, applied another painted texture layer, and merged in Superman flying through the sky.

Superman Holds Up a Collapsing Building

I created an homage cover based on Pablo M. Collar's original interior panel artwork.   I began with Tengr to kick things off, sourcing art from My Adventures with Superman #1 (August 2024).  I then expanded the image vertically and added more destructive details by hand, blending in other layers for special effects like dust clouds and falling debris. Finally, I created a variant cover layout to complete the production look and feel of an actual Superman Unchained #6 comic book.

Superman versus a giant gorilla

Superman swirls around the giant gorilla (Titano?) building up momentum, and then winds-ups for a super-powered punch.  No fancy title for today's dabbling, simply "Superman versus Giant Gorilla."  I scanned a page from DC's Legion of Bloom (2023) with original artwork by Dave Sharpe that featured Captain Carrot and replaced him with an image of Superman instead.
