Superman with Heat Vision Blasting Toward the Viewer

I saw a nice sketch by Jordan Gibson last week, and fed it through some image prompts to get me an homage version of my own to edit on.  Cleaned up image glitches, and then I added some new background villains, heat vision beams, and a clean logo from the early days of Superman, with all my tweaking done within Affinity Photo.

This panel tells a clear story: Superman is using his incredible powers to defeat an enemy, and he's not holding back. The beams of energy symbolize Superman's strength and determination, and the off-camera enemy reminds us that Clark is always ready to defend the innocent. The panel sets the stage for a thrilling action sequence, leaving the reader wondering what will happen next.

General Zod's Heat Vision

I stripped General Zod off the cover art from Kneel Before Zod #2 (© DC Comics 2024) drawn by Jason Shawn Alexander, and then worked my own font work, and augmented the original heat vision beams to make my own version.
