Unpublished cover for Walt Disney's Donald Duck #85 (would have been released in December 1962)

Using my artwork from the last creation, I have created the unreleased cover from what could have been issue #85 of Walt Disney's Donald Duck if published by Dell Comics.  Naturally, I have created this as close to Carl Barks-style as I can, mimicked from many sample comic books.

Donald Duck as Batman

After tracing/vectorizing my last drawing off a Carl Barks 1950s comic book, I decided to try my hand at making a Batman version of Donald Duck. I used quite a few different Barks duck images to compare against for inspiration and artist reference.

Donald Duck Having Problems Mixing a Batch of Cookies

I created my own vector version from a 1952 comic book cover originally drawn by Carl Barks from Walt Disney's Donald Duck #57. Just vector brushes, solid colors, and a couple gradient fills. I've included a side-by-side image to show my source material for this homage.

Vampire Hellhound

I borrowed my nasty teeth from a previous Batman image creation and applied it to our labradoodle.  I would not want to run into this guy after dark.  I think we will call this hellhound by the name of Dark Bolivar.

Batman Vampire

Batman as a vampire, 'nuff said.    A bit of tracing and composite work from some other images, then altered quite a bit to fit this image theme.   I think the image I used for distorting into point teeth came out decent.

Harley and Ivy Kissing (Harlivy)

I created my own vector version of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy kissing by tracing over a panel originally drawn by Shae Beagle & Roberto Poggi from Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats! #2.   I made some alterations to the girls, added some new effects, and labeled this recreation "Harlivy." I've included a side-by-side image for easier comparison.

Travis Kelce Catching a Football

This one was interesting to create something different on my version of Travis Kelce catching a football.  Took a few photo images, did some rough tracing with vectors to create the main body, and then started using Affinity Designer's knife tool to cut out the detail shape areas, and then recolored things trying to use limited colors.  I only used a couple gradient fills trying to keep most of the coloring plain and simple solid colors.  When you discard my two gradients I think this is less than 12 colors.   This vector image can scale to just about any size and not distort so that is cool.

The Last Acorn - Animated Movie Starring Selena Gomez, Antonio Banderas and John Leguizamo

Here is my pre-production copy of the movie poster for The Last Acorn which is an upcoming animated movie starring Selena Gomez, Antonio Banderas, and John Leguizamo.  I brought four separate Bing Image Creator (DALL-E 3) prompt creations of mine into a single combined layout.

Green Lantern power battery with logo text work

I tested out the new Affinity 2.3.0 release today (cool new spiral tool available, but not used on this image), and with it, I finally had a chance to utilize IamRensi lights, lens flare, and particle brushes. Started with Designer font for the Green Lantern logo, converted it to curves, stacked and edited nodes for a 3D look, along with more warp group tweaks, then converted it into a second warp group to get the perspective laid down, Then took my work back to Affinity Photo, added a gradient for the lens flare coloring on the text, plus lots of various live filters on different layers, while compositing it into the 3d battery image I found online.
