I started with a Meta AI image prompt, and then hand-finished it for the final Cthulhu baby breathing smoke as seen in the underworld tar pits.

MUMBLINGS about whatever happens to trip-my-trigger this week. This might cover books, horror movies, new music I have discovered, photo edits, tweaking panel art from a graphic novel, technical tips for your PC/mobile devices, or any other random topic.
I started with a Meta AI image prompt, and then hand-finished it for the final Cthulhu baby breathing smoke as seen in the underworld tar pits.

I fed Travis Fox's image that I purchased last year featuring a They Live-themed alien into Bing Co-Pilot and had it spit out some AI-generated images. I brought them all into the Affinity Photo, cleaned up glitches, and made some minor fixes.

In the heart of the city, where the lights shone the brightest, there was a circus known for its vibrant splashes of color and chaos. The star of the show was KALEO, a clown unlike any other. KALEO was not your typical clown. His laughter was not of joy, but of madness. His painted face, a mask of sinister delight, was a stark contrast to the vibrant colors that surrounded him. He was a psychopath, thriving in the chaos he created.
Every night, KALEO would perform under the big top, his antics drawing gasps and applause from the crowd. But beneath the laughter and applause, there was an undercurrent of fear. For KALEO's eyes held a darkness that made even the bravest souls shudder. One night, during a particularly chaotic performance, KALEO disappeared. The crowd waited, their laughter fading into an uneasy silence. Minutes turned into hours, but KALEO did not return.
The next day, the city woke up to a sight of horror. The once vibrant circus was now a scene of desolation. The laughter was replaced by cries of terror. KALEO, the psychopath clown, had turned the city into his stage of madness. Despite the chaos, the city survived. They rebuilt, stronger and more resilient. But the memory of KALEO, the psychopath clown, lingered. His laughter echoed in the wind, a chilling reminder of the chaos that once was.
I stripped out the main Shazam (Captain Marvel) image off the cover art from Whiz Comics #123 (1950 Fawcett Comics) drawn by Pete Costanza and then added my own hand-built logo to make my own version.
I pulled Kyle Rayner's GL battery-powered fist from Green Lantern vs. Aliens #4 (© Dark Horse/DC Comics 2000) drawn by Rick Leonardi and Mike Perkins.
Affinity Workflow: A few cycles of image prompts using NightCafe AI to end up with the basic octo-daemon creature. I then cleaned up AI artifacts, sharpened edges, merged several pixel overlays to recolor different regions, and brushed in additional objects.

I stripped General Zod off the cover art from Kneel Before Zod #2 (© DC Comics 2024) drawn by Jason Shawn Alexander, and then worked my own font work, and augmented the original heat vision beams to make my own version.

Some more artwork to go with the previous Nrub'atocto - She Who Feeds storyline showing the entity still trapped below ground with the skeletal remnants of lesser daemons entombed around Nrub'atocto.

I pulled one panel from Batman #144 (© DC Comics 2024) drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi, then remixed them into my own version of The Joker making a terrible joke as he dumps sinister laughing gas into the local Starbucks while firing an AK-47 in the air to get everyone's attention.
Affinity Photo Workflow: Panel pulled, dialog balloon replaced with my own weak joke. Frame created with vignette overlay. Gas recolored to green to be more Joker-appropriate. A variety of masks are applied to alter the look (such as reflection). New deadly laughing gas was added to the canister in his hand. Mixed some skull-and-crossbones into the nasty green gas. Replaced the original Joker face with another grabbed from a different source so we could see his psychotic grin way better.
I pulled panel elements from a couple pages of the issue of Batman #142 (© DC Comics 2024) drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi, then remixed them into my own version of The Joker getting a beat down provided to him by some Gotham City thugs.
Affinity Photo Workflow: Thugs pulled out and adjusted to show movement. Machete and crowbar elements were added for more fun. Masked and mixed in Joker's HAHA into the background, radial-gradient added, then recolored everything green. Painted in grass.
I pulled one panel from Batman #144 (© DC Comics 2024) drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi, then remixed them into my own version of The Joker making a self-referencing joke to Batman: The Killing Joke as he walks into a bar.
Affinity Photo Workflow: Dialog balloon added with my own weak joke. Hand-created the frame. Some minor half-tone/masking filters to adjust color saturation a smidge.
I extracted a batch of panels throughout the issue of Batman #140 (© DC Comics 2023) drawn by Jorge Jiménez to provide my own truncated version of Batman beating the cr*p out of The Joker.
Rediscovered an old post I did, and decided to pull my original camera images and try another attempt at creating the morning's drive through The Mist... join me, as we head to the grocery store to help barricade windows.
Affinity Photo Workflow: My own photos plus a couple monsters borrowed from NightCafe AI Image collection I found combined, mixed & masked, extra textures, and more mist added with a bit of HSL color tweaking.

I pulled a panel out of Green Lantern #5 (DC Comics 2024) that was drawn by Xermánico and spiced it up a bit with my own edits.
