Dua Lipa Polaroid photos

Just some simple layer work, featuring Dua Lipa, while playing with Affinity Photo template-type design setup on my end.  Created multiple editing layers so that I can inject new photographs onto the Polaroid layout for future experiments.

Liliatha, our youngest redheaded witch is levitating in her living room.

I started with a Bing Image Creator (DALL-E 3) prompt "a picture of a red-headed woman 30 years old bouncing on a pogo stick" then brought that into Affinity and started working on some minor tweaks, edits, and tried to weed out some of the artificial look.   I'm titling this "Liliatha, our youngest redheaded witch is levitating in her living room."

Batgirl in a Dark Alley (Bruce Timm)

I pulled a Bruce Timm created Batgirl image and placed her into a full background of a dark alley with graffiti.

Batman Wants to Put You In a Coma

Eduardo Barreto had a nice panel in DC Comics' Batman - Gotham by Gaslight, which I pulled out, isolated, and then did a few edits and added fresh dialogue "Why don't I help you slip into something more comfortable... like a coma."

Commissioner Jim Gordon

My latest DC character bio-page features Batman's favorite former police detective, James Gordon. I created the GCPD badge from vector pens and then warped the interior letters to fit within the shield's shape. Hi-rez image link.

Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)

Text overlay and masking playtime while compositing a clean Batgirl image, originally drawn by Bruce Timm. Hi-rez link.

Aliens Invade Old Tucson

My digital editing pen-pal Rens van Daalen (@IAmRensi), who lives over in the Netherlands took my photo and created this nice alien invasion image. Rens even made a quick video walk-thru of how he got from start to finish from my original photo taken in October 2023 at Gate's Pass in Tucson Arizona.

The Joker meets Johnny Dangerously

I yanked a single panel from The Batman and Robin Adventures #5 and created my own improved word "It shoots through schools" word balloons to match the scene better, an homage to Johnny Dangerously. The original art panel before my alteration was drawn by Tim Harkins & Rick Burchett. Hi-rez link.

Adam Strange cover art collage

More experimenting tonight, this time building an image using cover artwork from 60+ Titanes Planetarios comic books.  Adam Strange was a very popular sci-fi character in the 1960s from DC Comics. Editorial Novaro translated a large chunk of Mystery in Space and Strange Adventures comic books into the Spanish market.

Darkseid Omega Beam Eyes

I took the original duo-faced image of Darkseid drawn by Jason Fabok, and then altered it into a single face with some Omega-beam blasting out of his eyes. Hi-rez image link.

Rocketship Blasting into Space

Bing Image Creator (DALL-E 3) coloring book drawing built from my prompt "create a coloring book drawing of a rocketship flying to the moon" and then I colored it while watching some TV. Hi-rez link.

Lainey Wilson on the Cover of Country Music Magazine 1975

What If... Lainey Wilson had started touring in the 1970s?  Here is my version of Lainey Wilson featured in the April 1975 issue of Country Music magazine including my imagined article highlight below:

Lainey Wilson Bursts onto 1970s Country Music Scene

Emerging country star Lainey Wilson has taken the music world by storm since the release of her debut album "Sayin' What I'm Thinkin'" in 1975. The Louisiana native first grabbed attention when she performed duets with country legends Kenny Rogers and Ronnie Milsap earlier that year.

Wilson's unique vocal style, which she calls "bell bottom country," combines traditional country storytelling with a touch of Southern grit and rock-influenced phrasing. It has resonated strongly with country fans eager for a fresh new voice. Heartache ballads like "Hold My Halo" and the feisty "WWDD" (short for "What Would Dolly Do") showcase Wilson's songwriting talent and range.

The 23-year-old ingénue has not only impressed audiences with her vocal prowess but also with her outgoing personality and style. Clad in bell bottoms and her trademark fringe jacket, Wilson has brought a youthful spirit of fun to the Nashville scene that some critics claim has gone missing in recent years.

Wilson credits fellow Louisiana natives Kenny Rogers and Ronnie Milsap for inspiring her musical journey. "Singing with those who I believe will be considered Country royalty in the years to come, made me believe I really could make my mark also," she said recently after appearing onstage with the pair at the Grand Ole Opry. Wilson co-wrote both hit duets from her album, "Louisiana Love Song" with Rogers and "Sweet Southern Nights" with Milsap.

With breakout singles racing up the charts and industry buzz building, Lainey Wilson appears poised to give ol' boys club of 1970s country music a run for its money. As Wilson says, "I'm just getting started, y'all." Fans eagerly await what this sparkling new star will deliver next!

Vector recreation of Batman threatening one of Ra's al Ghul's henchmen

I created my own vector version from a panel originally drawn by Dario Brizuela from The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries #1 (DC Comics 2022).  Just vector brushes, solid colors, and no gradient fills.  I simplified the balloon pane dialogue and made Batman a bit more intimidating.  I also gave the henchman a broken tooth and mangled his left ear.   I added a side-by-side image just to make it easier to compare.

Orange Kitten colored by TrUzEDIT

My turn to take a simple cat sketch and turn it into an orange kitten sitting on a blue shag carpet finished image while watching some TV.  The full-sized image is available here to get around certain desktop or mobile browser quirks.

Dinosaur Standing in Front of Campire

I found a cute dinosaur image but had trouble sourcing it back to the actual original artist.  Thanks to whoever made this image for today's coloring experiments.  The full-sized image is available here to get around certain desktop or mobile browser quirks.

Catwoman Climbing the Side of a Downtown Alley Building in the Snow

I pulled a panel originally drawn by Juan Ferreyra from Catwoman #25 (DC Comics 2020), and started on my work in extending the scenery into something a bit different including merging it into a realistic snowy mid-city alley.  Used some of IAMRENSI's custom brushes, and I even had a chance to use Affinity Photo's transform function to alert the movement of Catwoman's leg, and the cat's tail.
