Batman with Gargoyle Statue
[Workflow: Nano banana for base image + minor human finishes]
MUMBLINGS about whatever happens to trip-my-trigger this week. This might cover books, horror movies, new music I have discovered, photo edits, tweaking panel art from a graphic novel, technical tips for your PC/mobile devices, or any other random topic.

Does anyone remember the late 1970s/early 1980s, when you watched reruns of Super Friends on TV and then made your own LEGO sets to go with it?
[Workflow: Nano banana for base image, rest of human work within Affinity for fixing the instruction manual, adding the four LEGO set characters, adding laser beams to Superman, adding the fire from the table, and adding The Flash running so fast we see him blurred across the screen. Additional background cleanups as needed.]

I've created another imaginary DC Comics variant comic book cover. Inspired by the original Kevin Maguire/Terry Austin artwork from 1987's Justice League no.1 comic book art.
[Workflow: I sourced images from various DC comic book covers and fed them into Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (Nano Banana) to create multiple base pieces. I then imported these into Affinity Photo, where I began collaging various components. I then finalized the "versus Toyman" logo, adjusted the layout of the blank sketch cover, designed the barcode, and inserted patriotic-hued creator credits. Additionally, I used Topaz Gigapixel to upscale various elements of the image flow as needed.]-WIP.jpg)

I took a single panel from DC Comics Absolute Batman #5 drawn by Nick Dragotta with colors by Frank Martin. I made some alterations and enhancements to create a frame-busting wide-screen version of Batman fending off an attack from a flamethrower.

I took a single panel from DC Comics Absolute Batman #5 , drawn by Nick Dragotta, and used it as an input source for a NightCafe image prompt to create a version of Batman kneeling on a rooftop. I then found several images online and merged/masked them into the final picture with Affinity Photo.

[Workflow: Original art by Jorge Jiménez from Batman issue #153 (DC 2024); a few simple panel edits and tweaks to set the mood.]

Here are some Batman papercraft creations I prompted during a session with NightCafe. I cleaned up artifacts and added features with Affinity Photo during post-edits.
I started this image from a NightCafe image prompt, then finished it up in Affinity with artifact clean-ups, updating the bricks with a new texture overlay and more clouds.

[Workflow: Some base images started with Tengr, then brought into Affinity to trim things out, add some splash items with wear-and-tear, used Filter Forge to create my stamp outlines, and then back to Affinity for final presentation with fonts, pricing, etc.]

Batman stands resolute in the pouring rain, the dark skies illuminated only by the distant flashes of lightning, his Dark Knight silhouette. I created this image with NightCafe AI Image generator and then did some artifact clean-ups.

I extracted a batch of panels throughout the issue of Batman #140 (© DC Comics 2023) drawn by Jorge Jiménez to provide my own truncated version of Batman beating the cr*p out of The Joker.
