Comic Book / Graphic Novel Appearances (as props) in TV or Movies
Posting this here, and will be updating as I find more, so I have a singular record, or until I find a better online resource where someone has exceeded my details on comic book/graphic novel appearances (as props) in TV or movies. I'm only going to be posting real, actual published comic books that make appearances.
- Detective Comics (1937 series) (DC) #298 is seen in the HBO TV series It: Welcome to Derry, Season 1, Episode 1 "The Pilot," where Teddy Uris is reading the book in bed before being attacked by a lampshade made of human flesh. Originally broadcast in October 2025.
- Everything's Archie (1969 series) (Archie) #34 makes an appearance in the TV series Police Woman, Season 1, Episode 4 "Seven-Eleven", where Detective Pete Royster is reading it during a stakeout at the airport. Originally broadcast in October 1974.
- The Flash (1959 series) (DC) #123 is seen in the HBO TV series It: Welcome to Derry, Season 1, Episode 1 "The Pilot," where Teddy Uris has the book hidden under his study materials at the dinner table until his Dad finds it and throws it off the table in anger. Originally broadcast in October 2025.
- more to come...

Boo-tiful Chaos: The Night of Tricks and Treats
A spooky Halloween 3D diorama featuring six ghosts bursting out of a house, getting ready to scare 4 kids who are dressed up for trick or treat, and there are also a couple of zombies crawling out of the graveyard. My image was inspired by a Mike Hoffman sketch.
[Workflow: Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (Nano Banana) to create several base elements, moon, tree, castle, zombies pulled from online art repos, and then combined within Affinity Photo. Lots of details added with moon glow, cloud brushes, layers for glowing ghosts, lamps, and all kinds of minor tweaks and fixes.]
